La località Molinasso si trova a nord di Castegnato, nei pressi della frazione Borbone, dove la famiglia Chizzola tra il XVII e il XVIII secolo possedeva i suoi terreni. Nel XIX secolo l'area si distinse per le vicende relative alla tassa sul macinato, imposta sulla molitura dei cereali dal ministro Quintino Sella (1869) per far fronte al debito pubblico.
A Castegnato all'inizio del 1869 vi era un solo mulino, chiamato il Molinetto, a sud-est del paese; era provvisto di due macine che in estate lavoravano saltuariamente per consentire una maggiore irrigazione dei campi. Nel novembre 1869 il Comune acquistò le località Case e Borbone, gravitanti sotto Rodengo, dove era funzionante il Molinasso, un grande molino con tre ruote in attività già dall'inizio dell'800. L'impianto fu poi oggetto di diversi passaggi amministrativi: nel 1809 risulta sotto il Comune di Castegnato, nel 1862 sotto quello di Rodengo, nel 1870 la rettifica del confine lo riporta sotto Castegnato e nel 1898 a Rodengo.
Molinasso is in the south of Castegnato, nearby the discrict Borbone, where the Chizzola family, betweenXVII and XVIII centuries, had its lands.
In XIX century the area distinguished for the events related to the taxon the minced, imposed on the milling of cereals by the minister Quintino Sella (1869) to cope with the public debt. In Castegnato at the
beginning of 1869 there was only one mill, named "Il Molinetto", in the south-east of the town; it had two millstones which, in summer, occasionally worked to allow a larger irrigation of fields.
In November 1869 the municipality bought the areas Case and Borbone, graviting under Rodengo, where the Molinasso, a big mill with three wheels, already worked since the beginning of the nineteenth century.
The system was then object of various administrative transfers: in 1809 it was property of the municipality of Castegnato, in 1862 of Rodengo, in 1870 the correction of the boundary gave it back to Castegnato and in 1898 to Rodengo.
